How to Share Files/Folders

Drive: How to Share Files/Folders








*Same process for Files and Folders*




  1. Open Google Drive.

  2. Navigate to Folder or File.

  3. "Right click” or “Control click” folder or file.

  4.  Click Share.

  1. A. Enter the names, email addresses, or Google Groups you want to share the file with, (add a note) and send.

 

The people you share with will get an email to let them know you share a file or folder with them.

5. B. Another way is to get a shareable link by clicking on the chain Icon

Click on “Copy Link” box and paste directly to your email client and send an email with a link to folder or file, just like it would in step 5 but automatically.



ADVANCE OPTIONS

Share folder or file via Twitter, Facebook among others, you can also change the access or availability of the folder or file.


By clicking “Change


 


Allow people you are sharing a folder or file with to organize, add, edit or make changes and click .



ATTENTION: Ones a folder or file has been shared you will notice a different folder view{a person icon inside of folder}. 


*Right click on folder or file “View details”, that will show us a break down activity of that particular folder or file*
