LMS Exports Not Opening in Microsoft Excel
For security measures, Microsoft Office includes internal protection settings that will refrain users from opening files downloaded from an untrusted source. In this case, the internet. As a result of these settings, users are unable to open their LMS downloads. As a permanent solution, we will be disabling the Protected View settings in Excel that prevent these files from being opened. Please follow the steps provided below:
1. Open Excel
2. Select "File" at the top of the ribbon and choose Options
3. The Excel Options window will open, choose the Trust Center tab and click on Trust Center Settings
4. The Trust Center window will open, choose the Protected View tab
5. 3 boxes with appear, all will be check. Please Un-Check the "Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet"
6. Click "OK" and open your file. Excel will no longer give issues with any files downloaded from LMS.
