Why do former staff still show up in Google Drive? Is IT removing people when they leave the Academy?

IT removes people that move on from the Academy one day after they leave the organization. However, the campus is required to keep the staff member's data for a period of time. The result is Google Drive does not remove them from all parts of the Drive until the campus deletes the person. In addition, if the staff leaves the Academy for another campus or Foundation position, the result is the same. 

If, in Google Drive, you come across someone that left the Academy, send a message to IT with the name of the former staff and URLs to all the files and folders they have access to. IT will have to manually remove them from each file or folder.
