GETTING INTO YOUR MAILBOX:


From your extension:

  • Dial: 4-7444

  • Hear your recorded name

  • Enter your password; Press #

From Home/Off-Campus:

  • Dial 594-7444

  • Hear system greeting; Press #

  • Enter your mailbox number (4-####)

  • Enter your password; Press #

From an Extension on Campus (not your own):

  • Dial 4-7444

  • Hear the system greeting; Press *

  • System prompt should ask for mailbox number (if it doesn’t, press *)

  • Enter mailbox number (4-####)

  • Enter your password; Press #


To change greeting: 4 4

To change password: 4 1 4


LISTENING TO MESSAGES:


Press


1 Rewind 10 seconds

11 Rewind to beginning of the message

2 Pause (pause on)

2 Restart (pause off)

3 Forward 10 seconds

33 Forward to end of the message

4 Play message at slower speed

6 Play message at faster speed

5 Hear “envelope” - date/time message received, plus in some cases the senders extension

9 Play message at louder volume

8 Play message at normal volume


# Skip the message entirely - it will still be with your “new” messages next time

* To skip back to the Main Menu


AFTER YOU’VE HEARD THE MESSAGE:


7 Erase message

8 Reply - for some on-campus calls you can use this to record an answer to the message you’ve just heard,. The server sends your answer to the mailbox of the person who called - it remembers the box number of that person.

6 Send Copy - you can copy the message, record an introduction, and address it to another person’s mailbox in the server. You will still have a copy of the message in your mailbox to save or erase.

66 Send Copy, Remove someone else’s introduction - If you want to send a copy of a message someone else has sent to you (with their introduction recorded with it) you can remove their introduction by pressing 

66. You’ll be asked to record your own introduction, which only the person you send the message to, will hear.
