(Step 3) Requesting from Getty Images

(Step 3) Requesting from Getty Images

If all other methods of obtaining stock images have failed, this is your final stop. This process requires you to submit a ticket to Getty Images Stock Image Request. When you find the correct image(s), simply attach the photo or board link to the ticket to ensure you receive the photo(s) you requested.

See below for the previous guides

Images found using this process and the Getty user information provided must be requested through the ticket system. Please do not attempt to download or purchase images directly. Requested images will be purchased by the Learning Experience Design team and delivered within 3 working days.

Written Guide:

1. Go to gettyimages.com > sign in at the top right
Password: F0und@tion

2. Use the search bar for your specific image > select the image desired > right click and Save image as. > Save to your files > attach photo to ticket

When saving to your files, please keep the file name and number unchanged as it contains the image ID number.

3. To set up a filter in Getty, click the search icon on the left hand side of the search bar > Filters > and input a filter.

Since this is a shared account, please keep the Premium Access filter toggled ON

4. To request more than one photo, create a new board. At the home page at the top right select Boards > Create Board > Type the name of the new board > Create.
5. Select the image needed > at the bottom of the photo select +Save > Click the carrot if your board does not appear > select to correct board to add the image. Repeat this step to add multiple photos.

6. After completion of creating a board with all the images needed, go to the home page and click Boards Select the new board > at the top left click Share  > Copy the link under "share this board" and paste this link in the description of your ticket.

IMPORTANT: Once you've received your image(s), you have 2 weeks to delete the raw file from your computer. We recommend you add the image(s) to your document or work product ASAP, then delete the raw file from your computer. There will be an automatic email sent to you once you've reached the two week deadline asking you to delete the original file. Note that our service agreement restricts the number of users that are allowed access to an image file at any given time, so please be sure to work efficiently to free up space for others that are requesting images.
