Macintosh: Setting User Number for a Mac

Copier: Setting User Number for a Mac

1.Open a program you normally print from. EX. Microsoft Word or Acrobat Reader. A picture containing object Description automatically generated

2.Click on File > Print. …. The Print window will open

3.Select the printer from Printer drop down box

4.Locate drop down box menu next to Presets. If it does not have a name.

5.Click on arrow to see if Job Handling is in it. If not, try a different drop down menu in that window.

6.Click on Authentication

7.Click on User Number

8.Enter in your copier code

9.Lock the User Number

10. Click Print to complete the process

11. Repeat for both copier and each program you print from


Reasons for performing the following task

  • You are printing for the first time to copiers in San Diego and/or Riverside

  • The Job Handling box to the right does not show up or nothing is coming out of the copier.

  • The Print job was at one point visible on the Copier display but the copier does not print the job.

  • Your computer or computer login account has been changed.

  • The copier has been replaced.
