(Mac) Connecting to Multiple Displays
Note: Some Apple laptops and tablets may require an adapter to connect. The device owner will need to provide the adapter since IT may not have it.
DISPLAY MACINTOSH ON A PROJECTOR OR TV:
Connect the Apple adapter to the computer
Connect the video cable from the TV, smartboard, or projector to the Apple adapter
Go to Apple > System Preferences > Displays, and select a different resolution. Try a resolution such as the option on left side of the window. NOTE: Different devices and models have different options.
MIRRORING:
Enable Dual Screen: Prepping materials on the laptop while displaying presentation on the projector:
Go to System Preferences > Displays, and select the Arrangement tab.
Make sure the box next to Mirror Displays is not checked.
Note: You can leave the resolution of your laptop display at its default setting. When projector or monitor is unplugged, the screen will return to your original settings
