Chrome 89 Features: Tab Manager, Reading List, Tab Search



Haven't updated to Chrome 89 yet?
1. Click the more button on the top right > Click Update Google Chrome 

NOTE: If you can't find this button, you have the latest version already.

Tab Management:

Improve your tab management with the new update from Chrome.

Steps:

1. Right click tab and select add tab to new group > type a label name > hit enter/return 

2. You're now able to subtract all tabs under a specific label to create more room on your browser. 


Each label can be color coded and edited upon creation, or right-clicking on a specific label. 



Reading List: 

This feature can be found under your bookmark star button in Chrome



If you don't see it, enable it here: chrome://flags/#enable-tab-search (copy and paste in your browser) > Use the search bar at the top and type "reading list" > Enable



To add an item to your Reading List, click the bookmark star   > add to reading list 

There you'll find your sorted items you've read and those you still want to, and delete when finished. The quick view lets you easily discern which pages you're still interested in reading. 



Click the check to mark as read, the "x" to delete from your reading list.

Using the same window labeled "Expirements", search for "tab search" and enable. 

Prompting these changes, Chrome will notify you to relaunch the browser (don't worry, your tabs will all be saved on the relaunch).

How to use Tab Search:

1. Click the icon in the top right along the open tabs > search your tabs.
